Boundary with camera security

A bright live view is not proof of usable evidence

Lighting should help a camera capture faces, clothing, carried objects, direction of travel, vehicle details and activity at gates, locks and windows. It can also defeat the camera through glare, reflection, backlighting or late activation.

Judge recorded footage, not the confidence created by seeing a bright image on a phone. Test whether detail remains identifiable at the exact places and times where removal is most plausible.

Timers, smart bulbs and automated blinds can make an absent home appear occupied. The pattern should vary, use more than one ordinary room and change with the season.
