These Terms of Service govern your use of the Collectaneum website, registry and mobile applications (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

The Service Terms explain operational matters, and the Acceptable Use Policy sets out conduct rules. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. If a specific subscription offer conflicts with a general description here, the terms clearly displayed at purchase apply, subject to applicable law.

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use Collectaneum for an organisation, you must have authority to act for it. Any minimum-age restrictions presented during signup also apply.

Provide accurate account details and keep your sign-in credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are not responsible for activity caused by our own failure to protect your account.

Collectaneum helps you organise owned items, collections, documents, photographs, research, wanted items, valuations and provenance. Your private registry is distinct from the shared product catalogue. Recording an item does not transfer its ownership or constitute proof of authenticity, legal title or value.

You remain responsible for deciding what information to record and for checking its accuracy. You should not add personal information about others unnecessarily or unlawfully.

You retain any intellectual-property rights you hold in original descriptions, photographs, documents and other material you provide. You grant Centrillio Limited a non-exclusive licence to host, copy, convert, display and process that material as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, provide exports, protect accounts and carry out functions you request.

You must have the rights or permissions needed to upload and share the material you submit. Uploading third-party material does not make you its copyright owner.

The licence for private registry content is limited to providing and administering the Service. Public catalogue contributions are treated separately below.

Users may suggest catalogue products, variants, identifiers and supporting information. Submissions can remain drafts and may be reviewed, amended, declined or approved before becoming publicly available. Approval does not mean Collectaneum independently authenticates the item.

Once approved, factual catalogue information may be used and maintained as part of the shared reference catalogue, including where other collectors have linked their own records to it. You grant us the rights reasonably needed to reproduce, organise, correct and present the contributions you choose to submit for public catalogue use.

Account deletion does not necessarily require removal of non-personal shared catalogue facts. We will assess personal attribution, uploaded photographs, original authored material and any applicable deletion or intellectual-property rights separately. Where appropriate we will remove or anonymise identifying associations while preserving necessary catalogue continuity. See our Privacy Policy.

You must not use Collectaneum unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, upload malicious material, compromise other accounts, misuse automated access, harass others or knowingly submit materially misleading public information.

We may review reports, restrict particular material, moderate catalogue contributions or suspend access where proportionate to protect users, the Service or legal obligations. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

Collectaneum is intended to offer a single paid subscription, with monthly or annual billing and a one-month full-access trial where offered. The precise price, currency, trial eligibility, billing period, any tax, first payment date and renewal terms will be shown before you subscribe. The checkout information is authoritative for your purchase.

Unless cancelled, an automatically renewing subscription is charged at the applicable renewal price for the selected period. Trials that convert to paid subscriptions will clearly disclose when charging starts and how to cancel before that date. A trial does not override an existing paid entitlement.

Web payments are processed through Stripe. Where in-app purchases are offered, Apple or Google may be the merchant or billing provider under their own payment terms. The Collectaneum account lifecycle applies regardless of which provider supplies the entitlement.

You may cancel renewal through the subscription-management route applicable to the provider with whom you subscribed. Web subscribers can use the account subscription-management experience; Apple and Google subscribers will manage their respective store subscriptions using those providers’ controls.

Ordinary cancellation stops future renewal but does not immediately end an already valid paid entitlement. Access generally continues through the current entitlement period. Cancelling a subscription is not the same as requesting deletion of your Collectaneum account.

Subscription cancellation, renewal notices, trial disclosures and any refund or cooling-off rights remain subject to applicable consumer law and the requirements of your billing provider. Contact us if you cannot locate the relevant cancellation route.

Prices may vary by country, currency, taxes and billing platform. Any applicable price change and its effective date will be communicated as required by law or platform rules. We will not retrospectively change charges for a completed billing period.

Refund eligibility depends on applicable law, the circumstances of the purchase and the provider that processed it. Store-billed refund requests may need to be made through Apple or Google. Nothing in these Terms removes statutory cancellation, refund or digital-service rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are a UK consumer, your rights under applicable consumer legislation continue to apply. These Terms should be read alongside the specific pre-purchase disclosures shown at checkout.

When a paid or trial entitlement ends without renewal, we intend to provide 90 days of read-only access so you can sign in, view your records and export supported data. Editing, new uploads and other protected writing actions are unavailable during this period.

After those 90 days, account data enters protected retention for a further 12 months without ordinary customer access. At the end of that period it becomes eligible for permanent purge, subject to operational processing, backups and lawful exceptions.

You may seek to reactivate your account during supported recovery periods. Exact retention and deletion arrangements are described in the Privacy Policy and Service Terms.

You may separately request account deletion through the supported account-management process. The request starts a 30-day cancellation window. If you withdraw the request during that window, your account returns to its appropriate previous lifecycle state, but any separately expired or cancelled subscription is not automatically renewed.

After the cancellation window, the account becomes eligible for permanent purge of account-associated private registry material, subject to lawful retention and the handling of appropriate non-personal shared catalogue information. A deletion request may also initiate cancellation arrangements with your billing provider.

Export any information you wish to retain before your access ends. Deletion cannot normally be reversed after purging is completed.

Collectaneum provides registry export capabilities covering collections, owned items, supporting photographs and documents, research, wanted data and retained source import information. The structure and supported formats may evolve. Exports are available during the read-only access period.

An export may include information drawn from the shared catalogue for context; it does not transfer ownership of third-party intellectual property or create rights to republish material you do not own.

Collectaneum is a record-keeping and research service, not a marketplace, certification body, insurer, authenticator or professional valuer. Catalogue descriptions, barcode matches, external book data and other information may be incomplete, mistaken or out of date.

Do not rely solely on Collectaneum to establish an item’s authenticity, legal ownership, condition, provenance, investment suitability or financial value. Seek independent expertise where the stakes justify it. External sources remain subject to their own terms and rights.

We take reasonable steps to maintain the Service, secure information and correct problems, but interruptions, maintenance and third-party outages can occur. We may improve, alter or retire features; where a material change adversely affects a paid service, we will provide appropriate notice and respect applicable consumer rights.

The Service Terms describe operational continuity, storage and export responsibilities.

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nor do these Terms remove rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable consequences of our breach, or for loss caused by inaccurate user-supplied catalogue claims on which we gave no professional assurance.

If you use the Service primarily for business purposes, additional limitations may apply to business-only losses. Any financial cap or business-specific exclusions must be agreed and reviewed before publication rather than inferred from this draft.

We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to address serious security risks, misuse, suspected unlawful activity or significant breaches of these Terms. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue.

You can stop using the Service at any time, but stopping use alone does not cancel a recurring subscription or submit an account-deletion request. Use the relevant processes described above.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements or our operations. We will publish the updated text and effective date, and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Changes do not remove rights already accrued under an existing consumer contract.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, but consumers retain the benefit of mandatory protections applicable where they live. You may have the right to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction. Contact us first if you would like us to resolve a problem informally.
