The Collectaneum experience refresh
A broad redesign across some of the most frequently used parts of Collectaneum, focused on making larger collections easier to scan, understand, document, and manage.
Why this changed
Better structure should also feel easier to use
Collectaneum has always been built around structured records: collections, catalog layers, owned items, photographs, documents, valuations, ownership history, and the evidence that sits around a collectible. As those capabilities have grown, some areas of the interface became denser than they needed to be.
This refresh does not change that underlying philosophy. It improves how the information is presented, so the Registry can carry more detail without feeling increasingly noisy as a collection grows.
What changed
A more coherent Registry experience
Overview
The Registry overview has been refined to improve visual hierarchy, reduce unnecessarily heavy typography, and make the collection summary easier to scan.
Photos
Photo management has been reworked to make image-heavy collections easier to review. Filtering is clearer, photo presentation is stronger, and collection imagery now feels more integrated with the rest of the Registry.
Documents
Document management has been redesigned to make supporting material easier to recognize and work with, particularly where an owned item has multiple records attached to it.
Ownership and provenance
Ownership information has been visually simplified while retaining the detail needed to preserve provenance notes, ownership events, and the history connected to an item.
Public experience
The public Collectaneum site has also started to move toward a clearer information architecture, with grouped navigation for Product and For Collectors while keeping the Knowledge Center as a major destination in its own right.

These changes are already part of Collectaneum. Existing collection records, photographs, documents, values, and ownership information remain in place.
The principle behind the refresh
More information should make a collection more useful, not harder to navigate. The redesign is intended to keep evidence, history, and structure visible while reducing unnecessary interface noise.

The How It Works area is being refreshed alongside the Registry so the walkthroughs reflect the current interface. The Knowledge Center remains the place for the deeper collecting principles behind documentation, provenance, photography, valuation, preservation, and related subjects.
